Beckham - 9 months

Baby Becks is nine months old today! Clint and I were thinking back last night about how we both felt like he was just born the other day! I thought time would go much slower being home and not working but it still seems to have gone by just as fast!

Measurements: Last weekend I had to take Beckham to Express Care because he was sick and he weighed 20.2 pounds. He grew so fast early on but he has definitely slowed down now. I just packed away all the 6-9 month sized clothes today and took out all the 9-12 month sizes. The one piece sleepers are a little big as I imagine some of the other clothes will be as well but the 9 month ones were too hard to button and zip! Many of his onesies were getting a little small too. He is still wearing a size 3 diaper although I'm not sure for how long because baby got back!

Milestones: He is still not crawling but I imagine it will be sometime soon. He scoots around everywhere and rolls back and forth. He can get himself to the sitting position if he is on his belly. He loves to stand! He stands with his little walker and his activity table but still loses his balance sometimes. I would love to add that he sleeps through the night butttttt he doesn't. womp womp.

Daily Schedule: He is mostly on a 2 nap schedule (one about 10am and one about 2pm) but if his 2nd nap is short then he takes a third one before dinner. He goes to bed beween 7:15 and 7:30 most nights. More times than not he wakes up around 10pm, 2am and 5 or 6am. Sometimes he wakes just once, sometimes just twice. There is kind of no pattern still. He had several good nights in a row and then he got a double ear infection so those good thoughts I had went out the window! Now that he is finally better, I am hoping we can get through the night before he turns 10 months old! It would be lovely!

My little mischief maker!!

Beckham - 5 Months

Measurements: On Monday Beckham weighed 16 pounds 11 ounces! (After he ate he weighed 17 even!) He' grew an inch and is 26 inches long! He's getting so big! I think today I will get out the 6-9 month clothes and join them in with the 3-6 month clothes. He is somewhat long and most of his sleepers are tight on his legs - his toes are at the end and seem a little scrunchy. His poor little arms are short though! Most of his long sleeves are too long.

Milestones: He is sitting up! He definitely figured out his balance for the most part! He still falls over so I have to be by him but I'm sure soon he will be a sitting pro! He's rolled onto his belly once but he is thisclose to doing it! His butt and legs are just so big!

Schedule: His schedule is still the same as 3 and 4 months except his night time sleeping is terrible. He's been waking every 2-3 hours :( So today is the first day of no swaddle! He really needs to self-soothe because when he wakes in the middle of the night, I will feed him but he falls right back to sleep. So I don't think he's waking because he's hungry. We'll see how this goes!

Beckham - 11 Weeks

My happy little boy is 11 weeks old!
Likes: smiling, being tickled, looking at his feet, chewing on things especially his hands, being swaddled
Dislikes: staying awake when he's tired

What's New in the Last Week: He's rolled over a couple times previously but in the last week he has rolled over several times!

He's so much more alert! (I know I said that last week.)

Trying to get his weekly picture is much more challenging than when I did Parker's!

such a cutie :)

*he loves being swaddled! *His little neck is getting strong! *He loves it when he finds his feet!

 *Always staring at me!

  *Waking up and stretching!

*A little picnic and tent action! *His feet are so wrinkly! *Mr. Stretch

*Picnic time *This is the best mean mug! *But then he's back to being all Mr. Cutsie

*Swaddled for nap time in the garage *Mr. Wide Eyed

Beckham - Four Weeks

Not only is that chubby bunny 4 weeks old, but I have blogged 4 straight weeks!

Mr. Beckham is growing so fast! His chubby cheeks and double chin are too much! Today he weighed 9 lb. 13 oz. before his feeding and like each week I've checked, he is still eating about 4 oz. We are going to attempt using a bottle this week so I'll check back in with that next week!

Likes: most nights he loves his rock and play bed, still likes to look out the skylights, he really has noticed the hanging toys on his car seat and seems to like looking at those, snuggling up for a nap on our chests, bathtime if you fill the tub up pretty high so he is laying in the water, cooing

Dislikes: the car seat has gotten better - he doesn't fuss about that much anymore, having gas is no fun

What's New in the Last Week: He has gained quite a bit of weight - one pound in the last week!! He is now in between newborn and 0-3 month clothes; depending on the brand. Some newborn things are plenty big still and others are skin tight. Last night was his first fussy night which I can't really complain about because he is 4 weeks old! And even then, he still slept decently.

We also decided to be on a little bit more of a schedule. So in order for Parker to nap, we still get up at 6am every day :/ I don't love waking up that early but it is what works! I just take a shower first thing and then I'm usually good to go. Plus, Clint is still home so he can feed Parker breakfast and hang out with him.

He is starting to notice more, like the toys on his carseat. The other night we had visitors and as soon as I sat next to Whitney and started talking he looked over and just stared at me :) It was sweet.

I can tell he is going to be ticklish! His feet are the same way!

He is so noisy!!

Prepare for several pictures of Beckham...sleeping. Because he does a lot of that. And I think he's cute while doing it.

14 Months

I'm a little late...but we have been busy having fun! Parker is 23 pounds and definitely getting taller. How do I know? He used to fit under the fridge doors but he doesn't anymore.

He says lots of words and lots of thing that sound like words. He can say the words:
mama, dada, dog, kitty (tiddy...lol), balloon (boon), giraffe (raf), uh oh, boom (bum), Bob (his grandpa), woof, moo,

He can recognize a lot of other words - like water, boy, basement, outside, slide, grandma, grandpa, put it back, snack, Zoe

He can follow a few simple commands but he also knows when we ask him to do things or not do things and he chooses to ignore us! We are having a hard time with him not playing in Zoe's water. The other night he dumped a full bowl of water on the kitchen floor then laid in it and started swimming. It was hilarious but he is constantly splashing in it!

He has fallen into a good routine with naps (half hour nap in the morning and afternoon). He has had a consistent bedtime routine and time for ever but lately he has been hit or miss as to whether he actually goes down. Sometimes he likes to run amok for an extra hour or two. His glow worm really helps him realize that it's nap time or bed time...except when he throws it on the floor.

He loves most foods and if you are eating anything, he wants to stand right by you with his mouth open. He knows he can tap my mom's leg and she'll hand him something...a bugel, a goldfish, vanilla wafer. He's not too fond of regular milk; some days he only have a few sips of milk and other days he'll drink one cup worth. He loves drinking water though.

Right now some of his favorite toys are his ball popper (remember when he was scared of this??), his race cars and race track, anything musical, balls, and ALL brooms/mops/long handled tools. I am not kidding...this kid is obsessed with brooms! He sees a long handle and he squeals with excitement! No matter where we are, he wants a broom (someone else's house, the store, outside). He also LOVES books. He will read every book repeatedly and not tire of it. Luckily we have a ton of books and I always find more!

Little man loves to run everywhere! It's too cute except a few times he has gotten too fast and he falls face first which has led to three swollen lips/bloody mouths. It's hard to slow him down! He loves running into things and yell "BUM!" really loud or throw things and yell "BUM!" He also likes to ride in shopping carts and yell "vroom" or push his cars or Batmobile and vroom everywhere.

Parker loves Lucy and Zoe and he likes to cuddle with them...the both are pretty tolerant. Lucy is really good with him; one day he picked her up and tried to carry her. It was so funny! Zoe has come a long way from when Parker first came home. She sometimes tries to get away from Parker and then he chases her in circles which is pretty comical but other times she'll sit or lay still for a little while so he can lay on her. Hopefully they'll become buddies one day!
