Beckham - 24 & 25 Weeks

I am not keeping up here lately! I guess that's life with 2 kids! I at least remember to take his picture every Monday (or sometimes Tuesday).

Likes: babbling all sorts of new sounds, watching and laughing at Parker all day, peekaboo

Dislikes: staying up too late (for naps or bedtime)

What's New in the Last (few) Weeks: Ever since we got back from California his sleeping has been terrible; only sleeping for 2-3 hours at a time. Well in the last week, we decided to just get him back to sleep instead of feeding him because he wasn't waking to eat. I think he was just waking between sleep cycles. He would always fall asleep eating. I think that has helped because he is learning to fall back asleep. Two nights ago he slept from 7:30 until 4 am! Last night he only woke at 1:30. I think we are pulling out of the terrible 4-5 month range!

He just loves Parker so much!

25 weeks is when I went back to work with Parker and I am so thankful that I am able to keep staying home this time! Beckham is getting to such a fun stage and I love hanging out with Parker.

Beckham - 5 Months

Measurements: On Monday Beckham weighed 16 pounds 11 ounces! (After he ate he weighed 17 even!) He' grew an inch and is 26 inches long! He's getting so big! I think today I will get out the 6-9 month clothes and join them in with the 3-6 month clothes. He is somewhat long and most of his sleepers are tight on his legs - his toes are at the end and seem a little scrunchy. His poor little arms are short though! Most of his long sleeves are too long.

Milestones: He is sitting up! He definitely figured out his balance for the most part! He still falls over so I have to be by him but I'm sure soon he will be a sitting pro! He's rolled onto his belly once but he is thisclose to doing it! His butt and legs are just so big!

Schedule: His schedule is still the same as 3 and 4 months except his night time sleeping is terrible. He's been waking every 2-3 hours :( So today is the first day of no swaddle! He really needs to self-soothe because when he wakes in the middle of the night, I will feed him but he falls right back to sleep. So I don't think he's waking because he's hungry. We'll see how this goes!

Beckham - 21-23 Weeks

Yes, I know the first thing you notice is his big ole thighs and not his cutie little socks! I mean seriously, get a look at those tree trunks! His big legs match his cute little pumpkin head :)

Likes: tickles, Parker, and grunting all. day. long.

Dislikes: sleeping all night

What's New in the Last Few Weeks: He rolled over onto his belly once! He can almost roll onto his belly all the time, but as you can see, he has a lot of weight down below to flip over :)

He is also doing really well sitting! He can sit for a decent amount of time before falling over or just hitting his chest onto the ground like a squatting duck. I'm exited for the coming stages! I know he's going to want to keep up with Parker.

Today I am quitting the swaddle cold turkey. Since he's waking quite a bit in the middle of the night, he can't really soothe himself since his hands are swaddled. So off it goes!

Since it's been a few weeks, I put my pictures into a short video :)

Beckham - 20 Weeks

Beckham is 20 weeks old today!

Likes: watching Parker (and everything around him), laughing at Parker, smiling at everyone, toys

Dislikes: staying awake when he's ready for a nap

What's New in the Last Week: He hit 16 pounds and he can sit for a short amount of time (10-30 seconds) if his hands are on the ground.

We had our pictures takes yesterday by Nikki Rae and I am so excited to get them back soon!! We had such a fun time and I know she got some good ones!

Beckham - 18 & 19 Weeks

I had planned on blogging while we were in California but just didn't around to it. So here are pictures for last week and this week:

Like: watching Parker (all the time now!), being tickled, playing with toys (especially the oball - since it's easy to grasp)

Dislikes: sleeping at night for more than 2 hours ;)

What's New in the Last Week: He had his first flight which went really well! He had his first trip to California which also went really well!

Yesterday he weighed 15lb 10oz! He's gained almost a pound in 2 weeks. That's probably because he hasn't been sleeping as well at night and is waking more often to eat! He's packing on the weight!

He loves his feet!

He's started noticing the pets!

Beckham - Four Months

Beckham is four months old today! He has definitely entered the regular baby phase...no longer a newborn.

Parker was helping me to try to get Beckham to smile :)

Beckham was more interested in getting the giraffe!

Measurements: I updated about this yesterday, but I'll add it here real quick too. He weighed 14lb 12oz last Wednesday, so I would bet that he is a solid 15 pounds now! That is about one pound up from last month. He was 25 inches long which is the same as at 3 months. So in this past month he hasn't grown much which I definitely had noticed since he grew so much the first 2-3 months. He is still in a size 2 diaper but as soon as this pack runs out, I am switching up to size 3. Leaks are no fun, especially when they are of the number 2 variety!

Milestones: Last month he was able to roll over just barely, and now he does it much more regularly. He would rather inch around though when he's on his belly. I will start him facing one way and in the middle of the blanket. Then several minutes later he is off the edge of the blanket facing almost the opposite direction.

He discovered his feet the other day and this morning wouldn't let go because he realized he could grab them finally! I love this discovery except now he has a hard time napping because all he wants to do is play with his toes!

In the last week or so he has been trying so hard to roll onto his belly! He can turn his head and arms over so far but he can flip his hips yet! And I'm sure once he does, he will realize that he doesn't want on his belly!

He is getting closer to being able to sit up; I hope it's in the next month! He's just too heavy :) but he tries so hard!

His grip and eye coordination are improving a lot too. He can get his toys and pacifier to his mouth really well and then he can really work up a good slobbery mess. He loves to chew!

Schedule: His schedule is again almost the same as last month's. Except he has hit the 4 month sleep regression bad. The last two weeks he has been up mostly 3 times a night and usually he has one time where he wakes up and is just upset and screams or cries. He has been a little fussier at dinner time too, so I'm wondering if he just needs an extra feed in the evening to stock up for the night. I may try that tomorrow. He keeps busting out of his swaddle too which isn't really too terrible because if he can roll over, he can't be swaddled anyways. Just when I thought he would start sleeping through the night, he went the other way. Hopefully he'll get over this hump and sleep better soon.

Parker loves to take pictures around the house when he finds the camera and he took these cute shots today :)

In other news, we leave for California Saturday morning and we're excited! Parker can't wait to go and I know my mom and stepdad are excited to see the kids! Hopefully the plane ride goes smooth!
