23 Weeks

This weekend I am 23 weeks along! Parker had to be in the picture with me today (although he was a little far away, so I scooted him closer with photoshop).

I am still feeling good as long as I don't eat too much!

Sleep has been good too so far which is nice because when we have two kids, sleep will be a distant cousin I'm sure.

As far as planning for the next baby's arrival...I made a short of list of things we sort of/mostly need.

The in-laws are getting us a new sit & stand stroller for 2:

My aunt got us a new rock & play sleeper that automatically rocks:

We will eventually get a pair of video monitors for the two rooms

I am not a big fan of all the outfits that say big/little
brother but I really like these:

Here is a quick comparison from then and now:

Left with Parker, Right is now

Well that's all for now!

Recap in Pictures

Since I missed the last four months of blogging, and I am home with Parker who has a fever, I thought I'd make a few quick collages of pictures!

October

We went to California so half of these pictures are from this trip - getting his own headphones for the plane, playing and sleeping in the sand, and getting ice cream by the beach! We also went to the pumpkin patch with my dad! He started his cave (not forts!) obsession and we made his costume for Halloween.

November

In November we got a new puppy that we named Piper but Parker decided Coco Puff was a better name! We decorated for Christmas and went to the tree lighting downtown and stayed in a hotel - which Parker loved! We moved his teepee into his room which is where he sleeps occasionally. He is a total bug lover - he catches the stink bugs that come in from the chimney and lets them out with their friends and in the picture at the bottom he's chatting with a giant spider.

December

I hardly had any photos from December but I think that's because I was so tired from being pregnant and I had a lot of family in town. Also, my sister takes a brazillion pictures so I didn't. I better go to her Facebook and save some :) December brought Parker's newest trend...nose picking! Luckily after about two weeks it started to fade somewhat. He also really started to get into PB&J sandwiches...especially as a shishkabob. He got lots of fun games and toys for Christmas; he really loves board games now like Hungry, Hungry Hippos, Hi Ho Cherry-O, and The Sneaky Squirrel game.

January

January brought on sleep issues - he seems like he still needs a nap but many nights he stays up late because he just can't fall asleep. So many nights we find him in the hall just waiting quietly. We also rode the train at Greenwood Mall twice and he loved it! We've also had some nicer weather that called for a visit to the park!

I will try to update a few more times this month!

A New Year!

Well 2015 is in the books, and I let my blog ring in the new year alone :/ oops!

I partly have some good reasons...Not long after school started Zoe got sick and we had to put her to sleep which I did find time to blog about here. I also updated with some of our end of summer activities. After that...life got too busy or I just got busy with our life...and I'm ok with that! I have tried to detach from online activity/social media because before we had Parker it didn't really matter a huge amount...but now, I would rather spend time with him than a screen or other people's lives.

Which kind of brings me to this...

I meant to update the blog in November after we announced that we were expecting another baby but oops (I think I may need another word for oops)!

Currently I am 21 weeks along and we are expecting a baby boy around June 18th!

So far I am feeling pretty good overall. Early on I was really tired but that finally went away during Christmas break when I had some time off. Lately I have had a love/hate relationship with food. I go from feeling really full from a small meal until the last minute I am then feeling starved. It has been hard to control my portions!

We finally told Parker about getting a brother just the other day and so far he seems more interested in how the baby is going to get out! He is always concerned about details!

left at 21 weeks with Parker...right 21 weeks now

I would like to try to update a little more often from here on out, so feel free to pester me ;)
