What a week! Parker started the week out being sick with a really runny nose which then turned into a cough. I also have had parent conferences after school all week so we are a little behind in the blog department! I know his fans are waiting ;) On the plus side Clint has gotten in quite a bit of daddy time!
Likes: he has finally war,ed up to the whole food idea, snuggling, tickles, waving his toys around, banging his brush on the wall when getting his diaper changed
Dislikes: being sick
What's New in the Last Week: he has eaten oatmeal, pears, and applesauce in addition to sweet potatoes bananas and avocado. I also have given him steamed carrots and he gnawed on those for a while but I don't think they were soft enough to get any bits off.
Likes: being lifted & tossed into the air, scratching the wall when getting changed, whipping his hair head back and forth, people watching, and maybe bananas
Dislikes: depending on the day...sleeping, and the jury is still out on sweet potatoes
What's New in the Last Week: trying out solid foods, putting his pacifier in by himself

After visiting the pumpkin patch on Sunday we had Parker's 6 months pictures taken...I can't wait to get them back! He was such a ham for the photographer!
Parker is 20 weeks old! I can't hardly believe that!!
Today he is still recovering from being sick over the weekend. Poor little guy woke up at 3 am Saturday morning with the stuffiest nose and a low fever. Obviously I was a little worried but he was just having a good old time in his crib playing while Clint & I tried to take his temperature and clean out is nose! When he woke up later in the morning he had the same symptoms but was still playful and in good spirits. So we decided to keep our plans and head to Bloomington to see our friends Amy & George. Well as soon as we got there the poor little feller was miserable and threw up twice. Not a pretty sight. After that though he actually acted a little better. We hung out for a while and then came home. Once we were home he was definitely worn out. Yesterday he was still stuffy, congested and a little tired but he was a happy and playful baby! Today he seems almost back to normal Parker. Luckily it wasn't a horrible sickness for his first cold. I also think the Vicks vaporizer has helped with the congestion and runny nose.
Likes: playing peek-a-boo with daddy, playtime, raspberries on his legs and belly, daddy's scratchy beard
Dislikes: naptime
What's New in the Last Week: being sick, his baby talk includes more paired vowels and consonants, and he has started to pick things up and throw them to the side like he doesn't want them

We have been doing lots of tummy time lately and he is doing so well with it. I would love for him to be able to crawl before I go back to work ;)
Before I took this video he kept taking the ring and throwing it behind him. He thought he was being soo cute :)

Dislikes: naptime (well, just today anyways)
What's New in the Last Week: he can put his feet in his mouth (yummy), switch toys from one hand to the other, and he has started to reach out for you me to hold him ;)

Clearly Mr. Parker likes to kick! Feeding a kicking baby is quite hard.
He learned that he could stop the fan with his foot.
Our little baby bear weighs 14 pounds and 10 ounces this week and is now 14 weeks old!
Likes: babbling, raspberries, smiling
Dislikes: getting his nails trimmed
What's New in the Last Week: grabs on to things purposefully (sometimes has to concentrate pretty hard if it's something hanging!), putting his pacifier into his mouth on his own quite a bit
I love having the mirror in the car because sometimes I catch him doing silly things or just looking cute :)
