Beckham - Eight Weeks

Here we are at 8 weeks!

Likes: sitting in his new chair, hanging out under his jungle gyms, looking at ceiling fans, ceiling lights, skylights, etc.

Dislikes: our dinner time - he seems to fuss right when we are eating dinner, staying up too late (he also gets fussy right at bedtime), having a dirty diaper

What's New in the Last Week: I have used up our size 1 diapers because they were starting to get a little small. And of course you never want diapers to run on the small size in case of blowouts! So we have now moved on to size 2!

Beckham had his first (mini) vacation to Lake Michigan this past weekend! I am going to update about that tomorrow :)

Best Buds! That's Parker's big smile!

Beckham's new seat! He loves it so he can see everything!

Two Years Old!

My little love bug Parker Jameson is two years old today! These past two years have flown by crazy fast! He has changed so much in these last two years but I have loved every minute!

He is full of energy and talks constantly, amazing me with his expansive vocabulary along with his inquisitive mind! He is curious as can be with everything that is happening around him and he is constantly repeating everything we say and retaining it too!

He loves to climb, run, dance, paint, push things, rake/mop/shovel, and pretty much do anything that involves movement!

He loves to ride in daddy's truck, watch school buses and garbage trucks, listen to the birds, firetrucks, and trains, watch Paw Patrol and Planes: Fire & Rescue,

I couldn't be happier with how he is growing and even though I love the stage he is always in, it is also so fun to watch him change as he grows!

For his birthday I left school as soon as the kids left so I could pick him up early! We played outside, went on a walk when daddy got home, went to Target and picked out a few goodies and then went to Pizza King (he calls it choo choo pizza) because he loves the train! Then he stopped and had some ice cream at Cold Stone. We watched his newest favorite DVD, Truck Tunes (we have both 1 & 2). Then we played for a little while before bed. Funny side note - I brought him to his room and then went to get his toothbrush and came back to all his bed things on the floor. He said "change sheets mommy" because my child loves cleanliness! So we're getting new sheets out and he said "worm puked, so change sheets" meaning his glow worm that he sleeps with...hahaha so Clint told Parker he better hold worm so he feels better so he picked him up and hugged him. He's such a silly goober!

We love you Parker J!

20 Months Old

We have officially entered the phase where I feel silly saying __ months old...which means I am going to have to soon start saying 2 years old. Sniff. How did that happen?!

Mr. Fancy Pants has been growing like a weed lately! He is 33.5 inches tall and 24 pounds.

After I typed the above sentence I entered in his weight and height into the app I've used since he was born and laughed! On October 29 he weighed 26 pounds and was 33 inches tall. So apparently these long legs I keep seeing are all a figment of my imagination!

I will say that his language is the thing that is definitely growing rapidly! I know I mentioned that last month but his vocabulary and phrases grow every day! He loves to tell us to move if we're in his way; when I'm laying down sometimes he says "mama get up"; his last piece of cheese was under a napkin and he said "Parker cheese, gone?" He seems very eager to learn new words too. If I say a word or tell him what something is, he usually repeats it or tries to.

He learned how to do 'shh' and its so cute! When you tell him to close his eyes they scrunch up in the cutest way! He is practicing his jumping...usually in his bed. He is pretty brave sometimes, trying to jump off things if you are close by. He likes to play catch but mostly if you are the one catching.

He went to the doctor this morning for a recheck on his left ear which has had an infection and it still hasn't gone away. Hopefully this round of antibiotics will help because he has had a terrible cough since Thanksgiving.

 From November

loves his beanbag

We went to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving and he really enjoyed looking at their sheep.

too cool for school

We went downtown for the lighting of the Christmas tree and he loved the dance floor!

He finishes every drop of his cereal.

I told him to smile.

He used the fire mitt to help spread all the branches in the tree.

He also 'helped' hang the ornaments.
 From December

He loves Clint's battery train.

I opened a bag of black beans and chickpeas and he loves playing with these!

We are so excited for Christmas in a couple days!

19 Months

I'm a few days late but P-Man is 19 months old! This last month has shown so much development!

hehehe

His speech has really gown so much lately! He is putting together phrases more and more and phrases that are more of a command/request like "dada play" or "mama go" "mamma up". These requests are funny too because if you don't do what he is asking, he is likely to try and push or pull you to what or where he wants!

He loves wearing Clint's boxing gloves.
